The Sun-island Rhodes...

is because of its beautiful appearances and varieds for a lot of people, a popular vacation domicile and epitome for the sun, beautyful beaches, high spirits and good mood!

But if somebody makes themselfs the trouble and looks closely, here - like nearly everywhere in the southern countries - many animals must suffer and have to bear great misery.

In the southern everydays life, animals don´t get the smallest significance. And so, they have to bear brutal disrespect in their cheerless being. In really the rarest cases you could speak about appropriate to the species by animal husbandry.

So it is the sadly fact, that an animal which had done & fullfilled its "service" - perhaps as a funny amusement for the children during the summermonth, when they have school holidays
- they will be simply throw away, like an old sock.

But these animals would not be delivered at the animal shelter - they will exposed them everywhere (in most cases in a horrible run-down condition or much worse, quite abused).

The free-living animals often will be abuse too. But also, about awful torments, they will poisoned, shooted or drowned -

with the statement or apology, that they could not get under control the mass of animals.

If the tourists left the island at the end of the season, and there is nobody who excited about the cruelness at the animals -
then the island will be "cleaned" of the bastards.

During the summer, the animals become food and care by the tourists. But at the end of the holidays they leave them back -
in a lot of cases about the don´t knowing entry-appointment of their home country.

But what happend with all the animals now, when all tourists are away and nobody is there?

Animal Welfare & Assistance Rhodes

After very long lasting journeys to the beautyful island, we close (as animal loving people and dog owner) not only the island to our heart, but also the there living animals - the animal welfare.

By many peoples this topic always still pushes on intolerance, indifficult ignorance and totally incomprehension.

Perhaps, because the cruelly facts are so far away from their everydays life and maybe it doesn´t fits in their motley happy holiday world. What a shame!

Not a question, to look the other way is easier & moreover comfortable, but we want to help -

and contribute a part, if even an unfortunately small part, to reduce the sorrow of the many poor creatures and let them become help, while we

- report about the lokal Animal Welfare Society (RAWS) -

- inform about standby facilities and motivate to help -

- clearing-up & give assistance by interest of adoption -

- offer as german contactpartners & mediators -

In addition we changed over to give active assistance by fly out several animals and beeing a privat financed & organized careplace.

Gladly we would like to develop our goal, but as private individual, without benefits, it was sadly not possible for us. But we are still exerted to attend about flight escorts, care places, shelter-animals & donations.

With only little things can be obtained large success
by the animal welfare!
