**30.06.07 Spotty found a wonderful new home!**

Unbelievable, how fast we found a new home for Spotty! Already at last wednesday Spotty could finally move into his new home by Fam. Schäfers from Essen. They closed him directly into their heart, like us.

Now we are extremely lucky, that "our" sweetie found finally that, what he had earned - an absolutely great home and loving people!

Naturally there was a little bit sadness by us - specially our "big one" dog adopted Spotty directly as his small brother. But luckily he is not far away
and so we could visit him!

Today - two days later - I hear by a call, that he had wunderful settled
in and that he had stolen the hearts of all new neighbours.

Spottys new family said, that they don´t want to miss him now.
What a happy end... All the best for you, Spotty-darling!

**16.06.07 Spotty is here!
We are searching for a loving home!**

After long time of waiting, yesterday we could finally collect our sweet dog
in care "Spotty" from the airport Duesseldorf.

The long journey, stress... it seems like, he had not a problem with all kind
of this! After the arrival in his provisional new home - and after a very big
welcome from our both dogs - he looked very nosy, bright and happy after
his new world!

Spotty is absolutely nice and compatible with everybody and everything,
he is a true sunshine! It looks like, that he never before had made bad experiences with humans, because he gets all situation puppyful, playful
and without shyness.

We already have closed him into our heart!

Because the fact, that we already the owner of two dogs we must accept,
that another one is really too much. Furthermore we want to help a lot of other dogs and bring them here...
So we´re looking for a nice home for Spotty and search (have a look at
the german handbill) for - faithful and loving peole!

We would like to say MANY THANKS to Fam. Gerber again - our very amazing flight escorts for Spotty! Without you and your upsetting employ- ment, Spottys new start would like to be a complete flop!

**Current infos from Rhodes / May 2007**

At the beginning of May we visited RAWS at the animal shelter on rhodes
and came back with up-to-date photos for the gallery finally - concurrently
we also came back with very deep oppressing feelings of helpless & really formative impressions!

The roads were full of ownerless animals at this early season and if you´re not naive and think about this fact, you quickly ask by yourself:

What happens to all this animals in main season, if you could find not or only a few animals on the roads will be found !?

Only the fewest people get the trouble by themself, to bring this animals to
the animal welfare. And even if they do that, the animal shelter is more
then crowded yet. But later more about that...

POSITIVE: Expansion of the animal shelter

We were really positive surprised about the roomy expansion or better,
about the conversion of the external areas.

Because the dogs from the backfront areas find again and again a way
to run away, the bawns has been mislaid in the front. The input area,
which had directed to the building before, will be used now as another
outdoor enclosure also -

it wouldn´t be so easy now, to get by at the many joyful and for love & affection "fighting" dogs, past to the house!

FRIGHTENING: The locally situation

We were frightend about the fact, that the animal shelter was completely overcrowded already at the beginning of May.

Signs in front of the animal shelter refer to the fact that no more animals should delivered to the animal shelter.

No more further animals could be taken up.

But unfortunately, now it is the common practice, to tie the animals at the fence or abandon them there in boxes or something else. To get this sad situation anyhow under control, they must begin to euthanize ill animals or such animals which haven´t absolutely a chance to adopt.

We felt really shocked about that fact, because also a row puppies should
falling under this animals, at the next day.

Actual we get there with the good feeling, to give up the donation, but fast
we felt helpless, frustrated, concerned and confronted with facts like this, absolutely overburden.

Fast we know, that something must be done here - quickly!!

In spite of the fact, that we also have 2 dogs and sadly limited funds, we
have the decision to take several dogs bit by bit. For this dogs we would
find a loving new home for example about this homepage & also about
other media ways.

If we look again about the animal photos here and the faithful dog eyes
and we know, that it really couldn´t be a big problem to find a home
for this animals!

You also would like to have a dog? Why not a dog from rhodes!?
The destiny of this animals doesn´t leave you cold?
